gget is a command line HTTP parallel download utility. It allows to download a file using multiple threads in parallel. It uses libcurl. It only support HTTP protocol without authentication.

./gget: Parallel HTTP file download
usage: ./gget [-n nb_threads] [-l speed_limit] [-o out_filename] [-u user_agent] [-m max_chunk_size[kKmMgG]] [-q] [-h] url
    -n : Specify number of threads (default : 3)
    -l : Download speed limit for all threads (not per thread)
    -o : Out filename, default is retrieved by GET request or 'gget.out' if not found
    -u : User agent, default is 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0'
    -m : Max chunk size in bytes
    -q : Quiet mode
    -h : Display help

gget contains code for Windows platform, it compiles fine using mingw64 but crash durgin execution. Feel free to send me patch to support Windows platform.

to compile, download libcurl-devel and run :

make [DEBUG=1] [WIN32=1] [PREFIX=XXX]
